AN INTRODUCTION TO FOOD STYLING
What a fantastic Food Photography and Styling workshop we went to on the weekend. Now, those that know us here at Polka Dot Marketing understand we love good food and being a digital marketing agency here on the Gold Coast, we’re always taking photos of what we eat. While we would take the photos on our iPhone, we wanted to get even better photos of our food so we could share more. After all, the Gold Coast has so many amazing restaurants and cafes, how could we not share the love of what we are eating.
We came across a workshop with Salt and Pepper Hub – an introduction to food photography. Not only were they teaching us about how to take photos of food, including styling – but how to use your camera, but also our iPhone to get the best shots. Sign us up!
AN INTRODUCTION TO FOOD STYLING
Amanda and Michael were our workshop teachers and full of knowledge and tips they shared with our small group of six. The topics we covered were super helpful and allowed us to learn so much in the four hours of the workshop. Everything from camera basics, understanding light and composition, food styling and food photography.
Our first styling shots were so different to our final shots and we could see the progress in the time we spent learning. Of course, now we have even more excuses to eat out on the Gold Coast. Be sure to keep an eye on our Instagram feed where we are likely to share most of the photos – you can find us [Polka Dot Marketing Instagram].
If you are wanting to learn more about Food Photography and Styling and are on the Gold Coast, get booked into the next workshop with Salt and Pepper Hub, it’s definitely worth going!
